The Album is here, for you to download and enjoy! These recordings are a tribute to the Beatles Reunion occured in 1994, when Jeff Lynne produced the finishing of two Lennon demos with the surviving Beatles. We chose some demos by John, Paul & George (of those songs we thought had good quality of sound and composition) and tried to capture the sound that Lynne would have given to them if a COMPLETE reunion album had been made. We did it respectful and carefully. We don't have a profesional studio, or full time or knowledge to make it sound as an official recording, but we did our best. Some demos are not quite good as Free As A Bird, or Now And Then, where the vocals are at front and clear, but we managed as well. Hope you like it! and thanks for writing and waiting for this material!

1.- Free as a bird

2.- I don't want to do it

3.- Real Love

4.- You saved my soul

5.- Your school

6.- Let it down

7.- Now and then

8.- India

9.- You know what to do

10.- Help me to help myself

11.- Nowhere to go

12.- Grow old with me

13.- Goodbye

Well glad you finished it. I sorry to hear after all that waiting that your enhancement of Grow Old With Me was just another buried vocal by John with some fairly nice overdubs drowning it out

Anónimo dijo...

Well Done, You've done justice to the recordings. However you should have used a higher bitrate than 128k mp3. (320k would have been better). The tracks are suffering from mp3 compression and not showing your work in the best light.

Anónimo dijo...

Thanks for finishing the album guys! One question though. I am using a Mac and unable to open the .rar files from rapidshare. Is there a way you can post the tracks as mp3s directly into your blog rather than thru rapidshare?

Muchas gracias por el disco. Excelente sonido y versiones inolvidables !! Sigan asi !!!

Go on!

New "Now and Then" rumors: Will Paul and Ringo finish it as tribute to Neil?

# Update (5/8/08) From Edward Fields:

Hi Steve!

All this "Now and Then" talk got me wanting to hear that "iamaphoney" version again. (It really is quite good!) Well, while trolling for that version on YouTube, I came upon an alternate version by a couple of guys from Argentina. It's pretty good in its own right. They went a step further and created a "lost" Beatles album by "completing" demo tracks like "Now and Then," "Grow Old With Me," "Help Me to Help Myself" and "You'll Know What to Do." It's a fun listen.

Some of these were very good Anthology-esque outfakes, particularly via the faux Jeff Lynne production and Ringo-esque drumming. Definitely worth a listen for fun.

They're all available here: http://youtube.com/user/gaius476

Thank you, gentlemen! What a labor of love you've done. Your wonderful version of Paul's Goodbye demo got me thinking... I don't believe anyone has ever done a cover album of all the songs that the Beatles wrote for other artists, such as Badfinger and Peter and Gordon, etc., as Paul wrote Goodbye for Mary Hopkin. have you ever thought of doing such an album? Thank you again for this marvelous treat.

Very nice really enjoyed it, I would like to have a 320 bitrate as well. 128 is adequate but this great work deserves to be heard at the best quality. One day in the future if its possible to update the download with 320 quality please do, thanks for these and all the work you did on them.

Anónimo dijo...

screw the nay-sayers. if it don't feel right, you don't have to do it.

you guys saved MY soul - i owe ya for that.

rock on:)

ps: if you know the ARTFICIAL JOHN LENNON Project thing (it still exits) here are the lyrics to a song i got john-bot to co/write:

Not on this Trip:

How does it feel to have love?
(Everybody wants to know if I've given enough...)
How can you tell if the letters you spell
Are coming from the heavens above?

Not on this Trip anybody
Not on this Trip anyone

Do you remember the good times? (what's it to you?)
Do you remember the bad times ? (come on and ask me something new!)
Do you recall anything at all
Do you still dream
of being in the Beatles?

Not on this Trip anybody
Not on ths Trip anyhow

What are you doing in my kitchen?
Let's cook something up right now!
We could make the papers in the morning...
Very Alice in Wonderland - wow.

Not on this Trip anybody
Not on this Trip anyhow.

(i sat belonely by a tree humbled by remote control*.)

*John-Bot ad-libbed that himself!
the lyrics are 60/40 to johnbot.

(that's all i can offer as a thanks guys. love the virtual beatles album. keep on keepin' on.)

Absolutly greatful. I have waited so long, that anybody does this with the demos. And there are more songs, that waiting for such an treatment:

Watching rainbows
circles (!)
Window, Window etc.

I wished, I could do that myself, but I`m not.

Please go on with your work - and thank you for the music.

You are the best!!!

Dear guys

As a very long standing Beatles fan (I actually saw them in 1964 at the Southend Odeon cinema) I think your stuff is great. I've been able to listen/watch on YouTube but Rapishare gives such a poor service nowadays, is there any chance you could host the downloads on another server - Magaupload?

Best wishes

Russ (Southend, UK)

Ciro dijo...

Gran trabajo! Me saco el sombrero.
Como es que esto tuvo tan poca repercusion?

Dr. Strangemonde dijo...

I really enjoy the tunes you've completed here, though I really think the album should be called "Fair Ground", which Paul recently said was the Beatles' term for the unique sound you get when two guitars aren't quite in tune with each other. The term could also be easily applied to the sound resulting from the limitations you're working with on this project!

And hey hey! Next up, you oughtta take a whack at the many Monkees tracks out there with full instrumental backing but no vocals (tho it seems that most of the original lyrics are lost to time).

Help guys, the download stalls at 37.4 MB rather than the full 40.2 MB!! Tried it a few times, and it always hangs up at that point.

Anónimo dijo...

Amazing and wonderful! Thank you for doing this and giving me a new Beatles Record.

I only wish you would do a Ringo song, maybe "I'm the Greatest" with a mix of the Lennon Demo with the Ringo/Lennon/Harrison track?

Also "All Things Must Pass" would finish of the Album perfectly if you could finish that track (using the Get Back performances as a guide, perhaps?)

I know you've considered all this. I really only want to give you thanks!

You guys are excellent. High praise. Your version of Let it down is an absolute gem.
