"LOST": The lost Lennon&McCartney songs...

The Beatles were considered the most influential rock-pop group of the 60's. During their early years (1962/1965) they had not only composed excellent songs, but also selected numbers from favourite artists to their repertoire. So (live and in studio) in their albums they included fresh own material and covers, being these in most cases better performed than original versions.
During their 5 records (and in some singles) the group have recorded own compositions and other's, showing in their official discography that they could be prolific authors and brilliant performers of other artists' work. Depending on which L.P. we pick the proportion of Lennon/McCartney songs or covers is different, but it's undeniable that The Beatles had got past their antecessors, and brought their audience original and fresh songs.
Through those years, the Beatles used to play covers in the BBC programs and much of those tracks were not included in their albums like other cases (Baby it's you, Mr. Moonlight, Words of love, etc). Besides, John & Paul had became greatly creatives at the time of writing. Some songs were especially written for contemporary artists (who were mainly beginning their careers) and The Beatles didn't include them in their own songbook, reamining completely unheard by them.
This time, Octavio Cavalli & Max Gonzalez have imagined an album that the Beatles could have made and never recorded. They took those Beatle tunes (plus some favourite covers) and the result was this "LOST" album, a careful selection of songs, played them faithfully attached to the Beatles style of performing and studio sound.
As technical information, this CD was made using an open reel-to-reel 4 track machine for the recording, leaving to digital the mixing and mastering.

"BACKSTAGE" The new album...

"BACKSTAGE" is the result of a fun research among lots of masters and recording sessions files. It includes several tracks we never released, some of them belongs to a discarded Lennon Solo Tribute Album we never completed. Other tracks are really rare takes from the sessions of "Over Me" and "A year in the Life", like vocal parts or attempted takes of songs we later decided not to carry on recording... We also included unreleased finished tracks that were left aside from our last albums and a sequence of sample mixing sessions...
This informal CD is thought to be an invitation for those who are interested on how we record beatles and what happens when the red light of the studio is "on" and we must start to listen carefully every detail to get the best possible beatle sound alike.

A YEAR IN THE LIFE

This Album is the result of months and months of hard work inside the recording studio. New songs were chosen from the official Beatles records. We dealt with new arrangements, new mix sounds, new sound effects, and new instruments (like Mini-moog Synthetizer used for Here Comes The Sun and Because tracks)...

The effort of capturing every single detail, sound, vocal phrasing, pronunciation, double track vocal, arrangement, made of this album our evolution beyond "Over Me" (the previous official beatle songs recordings) and something completely different from the album we worked under the band-name of "Virtual Beatles".

In the reviews of this new album, it says we reached the top of guiding the work of The Beatles like in a Museum. We take you back to those songs, without changing ANYTHING, so that you can listen to the real Beatles music, not played by them of course, but just like they used to do in the moment they were taped and tracked for the world to enjoy.
TRACKLIST:
1.- Misery
2.- This boy
3.- Good day sunshine
4.- I'll be back
5.- Chains
6.- You're going to lose that girl

8.- All my loving
9.- Happiness is a warm gun
10.- Things we said today
11.- Please mister postman
12.- Taxman
13.- Because
14.- Anna (Go to him)
15.- Help!

THE VIRTUAL BEATLES "WITH A LITTLE HELP..."

The Album is here, for you to download and enjoy! These recordings are a tribute to the Beatles Reunion occured in 1994, when Jeff Lynne produced the finishing of two Lennon demos with the surviving Beatles. We chose some demos by John, Paul & George (of those songs we thought had good quality of sound and composition) and tried to capture the sound that Lynne would have given to them if a COMPLETE reunion album had been made. We did it respectful and carefully. We don't have a profesional studio, or full time or knowledge to make it sound as an official recording, but we did our best. Some demos are not quite good as Free As A Bird, or Now And Then, where the vocals are at front and clear, but we managed as well. Hope you like it! and thanks for writing and waiting for this material!
TRACKLIST:
1.- Free as a bird
2.- I don't want to do it
3.- Real Love
4.- You saved my soul
5.- Your school
6.- Let it down
7.- Now and then
8.- India
9.- You know what to do
10.- Help me to help myself
11.- Nowhere to go
12.- Grow old with me
13.- Goodbye

GEORGE HARRISON: Guitars and vocal
PAUL McCARTNEY: Piano, Bass, Guitar on Goodbye and Vocal
JOHN LENNON: Piano, guitars, vocal.

"OVER ME (The Beatles recorded in detail")" Is HERE!

Hi everybody! Well, as we promised (until we all are waiting the new "beatle" album) we present OVER ME, a CD fully attached to the Vintage Beatle Sound.

This CD was recorded during 2007 by us, two beatle musicians who were playing in bands for the last 10 years.

Max Gonzalez and I, mostly are used to roleplay John Lennon on stage, but at this point we sort of encouraged playing the four beatles parts inside the recording studio...

After we chose the songs, we began to listen very carefully to every single arrangement, guitars and basses parts, drums, editing matters, vocals, and the next step was to get the closest original sound during the mix and mastering sessions.

It was not that easy, mainly because the Beatles didn't record on digital source, and the sound effects were not "plugins" or "directx", but we tried our best.

Personally, I played in several beatle tribute bands, visiting the UK in 2003 representing our country in the International Beatle Week in Liverpool for 10 gigs, also toured latinamerican countries until 2007 where I played Paul McCartney for The Beats at Vía Funchal in Sao Paulo (Brazil).

Max Gonzalez plays in bands since 1998, and his devotion for The Beatles, and John Lennon made us meet up some years ago for jamming, then made close friends, and know taking part of the "Virtual Beatles" new album, finishing home demos.

In this album you will find beatle songs played and recorded faithfully, while we all wait the project we're working on nowadays (some tracks have been published on you tube as "the beatles now and then", of "john lennon free as a bird (remake)...

Until the full album is complete, we hope you enjoy this CD and leave your comments if you like.

You have the link at the bottom to download it.!
