THE REMAKES VOL. 1

In this occasion, Octavio Cavalli & Max Gonzalez decided to remake one of the most respected and important album not only in Beatles' carrer, but also in rock-pop history.

RUBBER SOUL marks the beginning of a crucial change in the band's career, and it's clearly seen in its sound, compositions, lyricis, arrangements (musical and vocals).

Being the sixth album by this Studio Beatles Tribute Band (and the sixth of the Fab Four), we realised that we had never recorded a complete album. Until this time, we had been choosing songs from different albums and reunited them in a sort of compilation (including hits and other tracks). We have made the effort of complete original Lennon/McCartney/Harrison demos, and let them to lead the main vocals. Also we compile some material from previous recordings and shared with you what happens inside the studio when certain tracks are not included in published albums.

Our last album tended to be what The Beatles could have released in ther time with songs they wrote for other artists and never included in official albums.

Now, we chose to follow their steps, song by song, remaking the record that made them grow as professional musicians, to prove one more time year after year, that The Beatles were not only a band for teen and screaming girls.

"LOST": The lost Lennon&McCartney songs...

The Beatles were considered the most influential rock-pop group of the 60's. During their early years (1962/1965) they had not only composed excellent songs, but also selected numbers from favourite artists to their repertoire. So (live and in studio) in their albums they included fresh own material and covers, being these in most cases better performed than original versions.
During their 5 records (and in some singles) the group have recorded own compositions and other's, showing in their official discography that they could be prolific authors and brilliant performers of other artists' work. Depending on which L.P. we pick the proportion of Lennon/McCartney songs or covers is different, but it's undeniable that The Beatles had got past their antecessors, and brought their audience original and fresh songs.
Through those years, the Beatles used to play covers in the BBC programs and much of those tracks were not included in their albums like other cases (Baby it's you, Mr. Moonlight, Words of love, etc). Besides, John & Paul had became greatly creatives at the time of writing. Some songs were especially written for contemporary artists (who were mainly beginning their careers) and The Beatles didn't include them in their own songbook, reamining completely unheard by them.
This time, Octavio Cavalli & Max Gonzalez have imagined an album that the Beatles could have made and never recorded. They took those Beatle tunes (plus some favourite covers) and the result was this "LOST" album, a careful selection of songs, played them faithfully attached to the Beatles style of performing and studio sound.
As technical information, this CD was made using an open reel-to-reel 4 track machine for the recording, leaving to digital the mixing and mastering.
